I've just got over my first ever set of cluster headaches, which lasted a week, having been diagnosed quite quickly. I tried Imigran (UK version of Imitrex)on 1 occasion, taking it as I woke up as the pain had started, but it had no effect. Should I take it when an attack is about to become full blown, or should I just try a different drug? I would be grateful for any advice and also if there is anyone out there going thru the NHS circus, then how have you got on? Apparently there are specialists you can see, but my doctor says it is difficult to get referred. Many thanks, Dan (Croydon, England).
