My Dad has been suffering from cluster headaches now for about 13 years and this year it really has reached all time nightmare proportions.
I don't live near to home anymore so I don't know what medication he is taking exactly but I do know that at present it is a form of steroid and a pain killer. In the past he has had everything from beta blockers to anti-depressants and acupuncture. In addition he has had brain scans, been examined by dental surgeons, opticians, osteopaths etc and no-one seems to have found a solution for him. He has even been to see the main specialist in the UK. I'm sure that all of this will be familiar to sufferers but as my father is an old sceptic and believes that if the family doctor can't sort it out then no-one can I am keen to get any handy hints that other sufferers may have on how to control attacks or help ease the pain.
Any strategies for coping that you may have come up with would be very well received.
Thanks!!
