Here's the best part, Riccardo...You have been posting on a board full of people who are, in my opinion, just about at the top of the chain of great post-pasters on the entire Internet. Not only are they supportive and understanding but they exhibit rare traits of humor and compassion that I don't believe I've seen elsewhere. It is inconceivable that any one of them could honestly hold anything against you when they all know you are (gasp) Italian, for god's sake.
Not only that, but the old phrase, "To know me is to love me" applies in every case, especially when we get to know someone very, very well.
So, if you are using the old "misunderstood me" defense, it will certainly work here. Which is good, because I never seem to make it work for me. And I'm like, Irish or something. Maybe it's Norwegian or Tibetan...I can't remember. But whatever we all are it is certain that we are in the same boat and have nothing but the highest regard for one another.
I like this board. I like the people on it and the great help and advice I've gotten, the friends I've made. I like the bantering, the give-and-take. I thought it was a miracle of sorts when I found this place and learned all that I have learned...I am not alone -- there is help -- there are people who actually understand.
There is nothing quite like the sense of comradeship among humans when they all share in such a terrible, traumatic and debilitating horror that typifies the life of a Clusterhead and the sorrows of their families. We need each other.
A simple misunderstanding should not wreck this place for anyone. Nor should it lessen the joy and sense of belonging that we come to accept as we gain experience on this site.
Thank you, however, for writing that message. It obviously came from an honest heart and from a desire to restore harmony.
So, whatever else prompted your post, let it fade away and not be a reason for withdrawing from here nor a cause for further anguish.
Lord knows, we have enough to deal with, eh?
(I know some good Italian jokes.)
