Gary,
Of course being the sage that you are, you can still sometimes misinterpret.
Extreme excercise during a cycle is not something I do, because it tends to exacerbate the clusters. But given that, when I'm out of a cycle, I for one love to work out.
I come from old peasant stock and have a strong constitution, but that aside, IMHO, I think we all benefit from regular exercise, especially as we age.
1. it makes you feel good
2. it makes you look good
3. it adds years to your life
4. it strengthens your bones/muscles, thus, it gives you more stamina, so that you CAN fight the stresses of life, including Cluster headaches.
Fads come and go, but a regular exercise program requires commitment on a personal level. The gym I frequent started as a rehab for people who have suffered heart attacks/strokes, et. al. I am 54, but I work out side by side with people from age 16 to 90. Seeing the elderly and infirm work out is my inspiration.
Not everyone has fields to plow, so we all gotta do what's right for ourselves, and always try to keep an open mind.
Peace
Chana
