If I recall correctly, Maslow postulated that self-actualized hypocrites have actually reached the Eighth level of his hierarchy, as they have grown to the point of not only recognizing but accepting their hypocrasy (which is clearly healthy, even though a bit nutso), but Mrs. Maslow convinced him that such a concept was beyond the grasp of the average person, so he settled on seven levels.
