Hi, I'm sure you'll get a lot of support here.
I run a charity for needy children and might offer a bit of advice here.
Many will be willing to help, but may not understand just what they can do.
I suggest you make up a template letter and post it here. This will give everyone an idea on what you need. This has worked well when I've had to go up against high ranking officals in foriegn countries or even down to the smallest business.
People will help, but will need as much info as you can possibly give in order to get it rolling.
E-mails are dismissed easily. Trust me BTDT! By adding snail mail your chances greatly increase.
Be specific in your template letter, add the mailing address. Tell everyone exactly who you are dealing with, why, and anything you can think of. Be completely honest in all your say or write.
When you go up against the "Big Boys" you want your supporters to completely understand who and what they're fighting for, and given the tools to do it. Just some thoughts from experience, good
luck, and DON'T give up. Most likely they will brush you off for a while. In fights for childrens rights in countries around the world, it took patience and endurance to get them to listen. So hang in there, get us some more specific information...and we'll blast them with all the mail they can handle!
