If you check out the FAQ I referred to it explains it in a little more detail, but, it is an in-hospital treatment offered by the Diamond Headache Clinic (I'm not sure of any others). 12 day stay. 21 bottles of histamine solution through an IV to desensitize your blood vessels to histamine, which they and others believe to be the culprit in causing the blood vessels to expand, putting pressure on the trigeminal nerve, causing cluster headaches. It has broken my cycles a few times.
