I had SM at 11 months old. Almost killed me. Our priest gave me my last rights. Fever 104 for 2 days. They drilled a hole in my head and stuck a tube down to my spine and sucked out some poison I was told. Also cut both my ankles ? Not sure what they did there. Anyway I suffered tremors all my life. My hands shake for no reason at times. I also had bad teeth. I have had full dentures since I was 26. I am now almost 45. Refuse to take medication except for a 12 pack once or twice a week. Live a normal life. I am lucky. 2 other kids in the hospital in Scranton Pa with me did not make out as 1 died and the other came out blind. My dentist told me because of the high amount of medication they gave me made my teeth soft most likely.
