i have been a ch sufferer since I was 12yr old. when i turned 35 for some reason they stopped. now at 40 they have returned. i have had them for a little over a week now. my doctor prescribed me imitrex nasal spray 20mg and i cant say enough how well they work. when i first used it a few days ago i would spray it when i got the first twinge or aura. the headache never came. the doctor told me not to do that, to wait until the severe part comes because he is concerned about me abusing it. i got brave and waited the next time and within 10 minutes of using it the headache was completely gone. also it seems to last at least 8-10 hours. i will get the aura and even some soreness or dulling pain througout the day or night after spraying imitrex but not the severe kind for quite awhile. this weekend i have been able to go 24hours in between using imitrex and getting a ch. i hope it continues because i am so depressed that these episodes have come back. i really thought going 6 years without a bout of them meant i would never suffer from them agan.
