Wasn't all that long ago that medical science was adamant that nerve cells and brain cells COULDN'T regenerate the way all other body cells do. No way, no how, can't happen.
Guess what? Now believed WRONG.
So, it is an absolute that there are no pain receptors in the brain? It's axiomatic (and not proven) that the average human uses only 10% of his/her 'brainpower', and accepted that medical science doesn't even understand that 10%.
Other than that point, I tend to agree with Monique. The more I learn about MS, the more I think the two syndromes MIGHT have something in common. I have a good friend with MS who has described many of the same symptoms Monique has, in terms of 'phantom' pain or sensations. Clearly, both deal with some sort of brain malfunction, be it chemical, electrical, electro-chemical or whatever. It would also appear that Alzheimers, epilepsy and several other disorders fall into this same category. I hate that MoneyHoney has MS, but I'm thrilled that she is here as a supporter who can also contribute other input.
Remember, a totally homogenous population leads to nothing but incest.
