Did your doctor actually say that Percocet/Percodan is good for clusters? I’m into my 44th year as a cluster-sufferer and I’ve never noticed any relief from cluster pain as a consequence of taking an opiate. I’ve taken codeine, Percocet/Percodan, Darvocet/Darvon, and Vicodin at various times. I’ve gotten stoned as a consequence, but there was never any relief from the cluster pain.
On the other hand, Verapamil works like a charm. I take 240 mg twice a day and I’ve been cluster-free for nearly a year. Note that the brand-name for Verapamil is Calan, not Covera, at least in the United States. If Covera actually is a brand-name for Verapamil, then you are paying extra for the privilege of taking that brand-name. Ask your doctor for the cheaper, generic version, plain Verapamil.
