for me. I use a 1/3 dose of the injectible type, re the Imitrex tip on this website. I barely notice any side effects at all, that way I am sure not to use more than 2 full doses a day as I get up to 6 h/a's a day. I usually wait 'til I know how bad the h/a gets before I use it. If it ain't too bad, I don't use anything and try to relax 'til it is over. I don't think the 1/3 dose causes rebounds because I had multiple headache days before Imitrex was available, plus my cycles don't last any longer than before. I have been using Imitrex for about 8 years now and have no bad effects from it. I don't use any prophylactic drugs at all. If you have any questions, Dave feel free to e-mail me.
