I am what most people would call a wimp. Most of the year anything that bothers me I seem to consider a critical condition. During a CH episode, and about a month after, though, there is nothing in the world that can hurt me! Yesterday I actually put a hole in the sheetrock wall with my head and did not feel it. I am grateful once the CH episode start winding down and I get a 'normal' headache. SOmething that goes away with, imagine that, only two Tylenol!
I think the tolerance to pain goes up, but the biggest danger lies not in that but the fact that when a CH hits, some of us seem to WANT to self inflict some kind of distracting pain.
