I've lived in south FL for 39 years but have had to deal with the beast in every state and country I've traveled to. Altitude, heat, cold, humidity, etc never made a difference. If you check the "where we live" feature on the sidebar, you'll see that we come from everywhere. But hey, you're welcome to come to Florida anyway. We moved here from Pittsburgh in '61 and never regretted it. Good luck.
