The instant I saw your chat name, I knew you were not French - although I guessed your name was Dominique or something similar.
"Nique" is one of the nastiest everyday slang words you could possibly come up with. In English, it is the four letter "F" word! (The root of the word is Arabe. In France, a popular debased rock music group is called "NTA" meaning: N.... ta mere. (.... your mother, or as a co-worker says: .... yo mama!)
So the next time you visit la belle province (Quebec) or l'hexagone (the hexagon - France), you might refrain from using such a nickname!
