I got cluster headaches two years ago around this time. They were more frustrating than anything else (and it didn't help to discover, online, that there was no cure for them!)
I talked to my doctor about them. He was typically unhelpful. I learned a lot by searching the web. I would get them 2-3 times a day... and one of them would _always_ be at night. I'm sure
you all know how terrible it is to wake up in pain night after night.
Anyway, when they stopped about 6-8 weeks later, I was overjoyed... and when they didn't recur last year, I was ever happier. So you can imagine my depression when, after a week or two of irregular
headaches here and there, I woke up in pain last night, then again tonight. (That's why this post is at 4 am! ;) It seems almost impossible to be suffering from something that doctors can't just ... FIX!
I wish I could say it was nice to find other people in the same boat... but I'd rather you weren't. (That is, I'd rather NONE of us had cluster headaches.) I hope someday that a certain and reliable cure for this awful condition is found.
I'd go on, but I'm starting to come down and I'm going to try going back to sleep. I love you all!
