the HIGHEST rate of success in stopping attacks seems to be with pure oxygen
it's pretty simple
if you can't get a regular medical setup,
improvise:
he he needs to have a supply of 100% oxygen at a rate of 8 liters a minute
it flows from the tank into some kind of holding
bag - hell, even a plastic garbage bag - fill it like a balloon from the o2 tank, inhale deeply from the bag, let it refill while that breath is being absorbed, exhale into the room, breathe again from the bag - do it again - and again and again
that's ALL you breathe - no room air, and don't reinhale what you breathe out - just the pure oxygen
DON'T set it up to breathe directly from the tank hose - you don't want it coming into the mouth/nose under pressure - the tank fills the bag (whatever it is, then you breathe from the bag
the 8 liters per minute seems to be how much/how fast is needed to keep up with breathing it
start at the very first twinge of an attack - don't wait for it to start hurting
IF you do this, you have a VERY high (probably 95% or better) chance of STOPPING the attack altogether - in fact I can't remember ANYBODY ever reporting that they followed the instructions (all of them) exactly and not have success - some say it doesn't work, but if you "question" carefully, you usually find something wrong in the procedure they're using
then stay on the oxygen for 5 or 10 minutes after the last twinge goes away
IF you can find a way to try this and it helps at all
(it should)
report back & we'll all see if we can help you work up a longrange scheme
good luck !
