During my research on CH's, and according to my neurologist, the main guilt lies on the Trigeminal Nerv, which travels throughout the face (nostril, sinus, ear, upper jaw, and most important the eye.) My neurologist calls it trigeminal syndrome. The surgery I'm talking about there are 2 types: Partial and Full. What I've heard they do is, they can partially or fully clip the Trigeminal Nerv, leaving you with NO feeling, therefore: NO MORE PAIN. The side effects can be lack of feeling on your face, which can cause a BIG problem when you get a cold or infection in your sinus and you don't even know it, besides the fact that your eye lid may or may not close. I just don't know, I don't want any more pain...I've got to go... I'm getting one now.
