Thank you to all of you. Greg has only had about three hours today without the pain, well with only about a kip4 but after all those hours of 10~4 is great! I printed off some of the emails and postings for him (only some cause I ran out of paper) we cried, we laughed, we felt at home and for the first time in 20 years supported and understood! :) From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all of you.
We have been trying to figure out some way for him to get some sleep tonight and have come up with a good one. He suggested rigging up a "jolly jumper" like we used to have for the kids when the were babies, hanging him from the cieling and letting him sleep standing up, and bounce if he needs to...we are so sleep deprived this suddenly struck us as very funny and we both lost it in peals of laughter, that was a first in many days! It's hard to remember the good times in the midst of this hell, but you all have helped us to hold onto that, being able to see through all of you that there is life after the cycle. He has started downing the water in gallons (thanks Margi! for the card too! :) and we hold on to hope for good tomorrows......sometimes just a good ten minutes! Thanks again.
PS the kids have been through this thier whole lives with us, they have never known a time when Daddy didn't have these ouwies, as they used to call them and these posting have helped them enormously too! They are Shannon 14, Candice 15 and Joshua 17 and much to our horror Joshua has already experienced his first bout. Here's hoping and praying someone, somewhere will find out what this is all about and help us all escape this nightmare! Love and gratitude to each and everyone of you as we head into another night of anquish.
