I HAVE noticed - in life at large - that almost EVERY "group" is told sooner or later, usually by some pandering self-help author - that they as a group tend to have a higher than average IQ..
you can find it claimed for migraneurs, depressives, alcoholics, schizophrenics and Red Sox fans (apparently rooting for perpetual losers must indicate an understanding of the deeper philosophical truths, sort of the Tao of Maybe Next Year)
my feeling is that if some author, doctor or snake oil peddler is saying you belong to a "group" that displays above average intelligence -
demonstrate that intelligence by getting the hell away from them WITHOUT buying their product
and remember:
many may have extremely high "IQ"s -
that doesn't mean they have the instruction manual on how to use them !!!!!!
whatever the hell THAT means !!!!
