Dear Nancy
It is not me, but my husband, who can not type and is unreasonably fearful of computer :) who has the CH. 20 years and counting. He too has secondary symptoms. Nuralgia in his face even when not in a cycle, loss of memory, disjointed thoughts, loss of eye hand co-ordination, can't think of what they call it, but he has trouble pulling the words out, he thinks fine but can't express it. I understand these things, cause I have MS (Multiple Sclerosis) so you can well imagine what a lovely pair we make, when I am in an exaserbation (flare-up) and he is in a CH cycle, we are quite the sight to see. I have found Greg once in the drive way at 3:00am with the rifle. He begged me to shoot him. He was in the middle of 14 hours straight of pain in the midst of a cycle that was 5 months long. We both broke down and wept in the drive together. He and I of course a glad he did not go through with it, but I can certainly understand when it gets too much that all you can think of is to just do soemthing, anything to end the pain. Now that the secondary symtoms are becoming more pronounced he is having an even harder time with it all. The secondary sysmptoms did not surface until he began the steroid injections though. They began about two months into the threatments.
