Even being in the middle of a very bad cycle right now, I will not consider checking out by my own choice. Although it seems that remission will never come, it always does.
And, as someone else pointed out our situation gets better all the time. During my first cycles (25 years ago) the doc gave me phenobarbital (sp?)...a sleeping medicine. Today the medications are better and there are even some fairly good prophylaxis drugs....(a calcium channel blocker kept me in remission for 42 months!!). Of course I owe it to those who love me to keep fighting but also, I will not let this take my life away from me.....no way!
You keep fighting too! Do "check in" here on a regular basis. This is my first cycle since I got on the net. I'm so happy I found this site.
