I'm trying to figure out if what I have are cluster headaches. They do come in cycles, usually last the entire afternoon a few days in a row, then gone for a couple months. They are behind/right under one eye, usually the right, but occasionally the left. At their worst, they make me sick; I spend last weekend throwing up, and have had a bad week, which is what prompts me to get information! (They only get that bad 2-3 times a year.) Afterwards, sometimes I "smell" a mildew "smell". I've never had medical treatment for them; I always treated them as sinus headaches, but I don't have the other symptoms of sinus problems. Sinus medicine doesn't usually get rid of the pain, but I'm less likely to get sick. I read a little on cluster headaches, and some of the symptoms mesh, but I'm not sure. Does this sound familiar? Looking for a homeopathic approach if possible. Saw a book recommending L-tyrosine, ginko bilboa, etc. Any experience? My father has a similar problem. His doctor put him through a battery of tests, found nothing and was no help, so I'd love to avoid that route. Can anyone confirm or refute my "diagnosis"?
