You have to keep fighting it. I am an old dog learning a new trick. Do not think about getting through the next twenty years of CH, otherwise might just use that knife. Instead, just make it through today. Today is important. If you make it through today, you have grown that much stronger. Then tomorrow won't be as bad as today.
And then when tomorrow becomes today, just make it again through today.
Dude, I know the despair that comes with CH. I may know better than most. I too have attempted suicide. Just know that you are not battling this alone, and like someone else said to me - the day I off myself, the following week they will have the cure.
