You see, the thing that has me wondering whether or not you have CH is that you say it is "ALMOST" the worst pain you have ever felt in your life. What else could you have possibly gone through painwise that is worse than a CH?
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but really - I have been beaten to a pulp before where my head throbbed and pulsated for a couple of days straight. The whole left side of my face was black/blue/purple/yellow. My left eye looked like a bloodball, and it felt like someone busted a brick upside my head (I was walking home from a friends house drunker than twelve monkeys, and my ex girlfriends boyfriend and his sidekick decided I needed a makeover.) The way I felt for two days did not even come close to comparing to a five on the Kip scale.
I also was working at a chinese restaurant and in a freak accident, the back of my left hand stuck to a glowing steam table, and when I pulled it away, the flesh remained on the table sizzling, and my hand instantly welped up with a 3rd degree burn. That hurt quite a bit. I wouldn't even give that a five on the Kip scale.
To me, the only thing that might compare is if someone maybe drilled a couple of 1/16th inch screws into the side of your head while pouring a combo of salt and vinegar into your head and eye, that might reach a 8 or 9.
So what in the world can you say would be worse than a CH reaching a 10 on the Kip scale? Were you ritualistically disembowled or something?
The truth is, you may have migraines and tension HA's. I know that some tension HA's can get pretty bad - and might even resemble the symptoms of a CH - but it is still nowhere near the pain of a fullblown CH.
If you could have the experience of watching me or anyone else on this board during a full blown 10 CH, I think you might be able to understand why some people get defensive and sometimes just downright pissed off rude. In fact, if you do have CH's - then to say it is ALMOST the worst pain means you have never had a fullblown one.
When a woman will post here that she would rather give birth several times a day than have CH - then I think she knows what she is talking about.
I am sorry. I don't mean to be a jerk. But the truth is - I am not me anymore. I have become this labrat that is forced to undergo extreme pain and at the same time try to remain normal.
again, sorry.
Peace,
Carl D
