Harley's description is the same as mine. When I'm in a cycle the pain will wake me exactly 45 minutes after falling asleep. After that cluster passes and I get back to sleep the next one will be exactly 2 hours later. They are so regular that you could set your watch by them. I work a rotating schedule, days, swing, graveyard and change weekly. If I sleep during the night, the clusters come at night. If I sleep during the day, the clusters come during the day. There is a pattern here but I don't know why. It just gets to the point of being afraid to go to sleep because you know the devil is waiting. One trick I've learned is to sleep with the head elevated or better still, sleep setting up. It won't stop them but I wake up sooner and before the cluster is full blown.
