You said that you think it's impossible that you have cluster headaches because you are female - it certainly is not impossible for women to get cluster headaches. I am a 30 year old woman who has been getting cluster headaches for 12 years. I think you'll find that the notion that women don't get cluster headaches is absolutely wrong. I think many women are misdiagnosed as having migraines, which I was. There are a lot of women on this site who get clusters. Also, your description of your headaches sounds exactly like cluster. There is a lot of great information on this site and lots of good links. If you're still not sure it's cluster that you have, you should check out the section on this site that gives clinical information on clusters - go to the front page of the site and click where it says "if you would like fantastic info....click here." That may help you figure out whether your headaches are cluster or not.
