Just got back from having my deposition taken in my impending (and none too soon) divorce. Her lawyer grilled me about clusters. "If they only last 15-20 minutes with medication, they can't interfere with your job now, can they?" Etc.
Okay, so I'm answering from a the perspective of a rare incident. I have to be fair. I don't hate every lawyer. Just the ones that don't have clusters plus mine.
Seriously, I cope fairly well with the Demon. I don't regret the time he steals from me, because I think of Christopher Reeves and my friends who are afflicted with MS and other progressive diseases.
My co-workers are supportive and, so far at least, have covered for me during clusters. Pain was precluded as an answer in the question, so I'm down to all those people who say all those things we all know so well...
"Oh, my third cousin's former boyfriend's sister-in-law gets those"
"Yes, I understand. I get really bad stress headaches."
"C'MON! Act like a (man, woman, adult, whatever). Suck it up and get back to work!"
"I think I have an aspirin in my (desk, purse, car, whatever).
and my all time favorite.....
"Have you ever seen a doctor about that?"
