Hi Yuko,
Thanks for your note. You have no need to feel guilty for your frustration. We have recently moved into a new home and at the onset of fall this year, so came my husband's cycle. He had gone 18 months CH free, so this one has been a doozy, I believe, because of the lengthy buildup. You have to understand that my husband is the most gentle man in the world yet these things bring out the beast in him - as they would in anyone. It kind of all came home to me after living with him and with these cycles when my 16 year old said to me upon seeing the hole in the bathroom door about foot level - "Poor guy. I guess it just wouldn't be our house without the 'headache holes' in the doors and walls." Need I say more?
The only thing you need to watch for, Yuko, that has been our experience is that if you do let yourself get frustrated while in an attack - the attack becomes worse. If we try and keep calm, we seem more able to deal with the hell going on inside his head and it passes much quicker.
Hang in there, kiddo and keep smiling. It makes people wonder what you're up to!
Margi
p.s. Are you chronic?
