Just got "back" from a 11 day stint at the Diamond Clinic. I've been chronic for the past year and refractory to all treatments thus far. I was admitted for histamine desensitization. Though this is still controversial in some circles; I had nothing to lose. No remission thus far and still clustering. They told me it could take a few weeks to still see results. (They claim an 80% success rate.) I did talk with several gentlemen on the unit who have had great success (remissions) with this. So, I am hopeful. I have also found that oxygen is now helpful...hasn't been for 6+mos. Also, I now use intranasal cocaine drops for an abortive. Many docs will "cautiously" prescribe them...knocked down a 3 hour cluster in its tracks. Just another alternate treatment for all. I'll let everyone know the end results of the histamine treatment....... crossing my fingers and knocking on wood! Take care all.
