A doctor started me on Neurontin(900mgs.)daily for neuralgia from a tooth extraction.I wound up in the hospital 3 days later. My first symptoms were "seeing stars",then double vision, then I could'nt walk or talk, then I was rushed to the hospital where I was in a almost comatose state. The hospital staff suspected stroke,I had a CAT scan,no stroke. They found out I was on Neurontin, took me off of it and in a short time(about one day)I was coherent, but I still could not walk.I returned home in a wheelchair. This was only the beginning.I began experiencing excruciating pain in my legs, they were weak.I spent thousands of dollars seeing specialists being tested for every thing from MS to cancer.I was on heavy narcotic drugs to numb the pain, but made me very depressed and zombie like.It has been about two years now and the pain isnt as severe,I dont know if it will ever go away but I am getting on with wy life again I am up to 3 ballet classes a week and I am starting to gain some weight back.Just be careful PLEASE!!
