Please know that I do indeed relate to your excruciating
pain. In addition to CH's, I pass a kidney stone about
once a year. I've had several surgeries but most pass
on their own after days of bullet-biting pain.
However, I would gladly take ten kidney stones
over one Cluster Headache ANY TIME!

Like you, I just discovered this gathering place
yesterday and I'm so thankful to the one who provides
and maintains the site as well as for the many good
people who are hurting and can find some solace here.

Don't misunderstand what I said about "missing" the
pain when a cycle is over. The headaches are not fondly
missed like a good friend or when the kids are at camp.
Gary seems to have picked up what I was trying to say
(only he had a much better way of saying it than I did)
that the pain is so consuming and becomes such a huge part
of our lives during a cycle - there is almost a let down
or a feeling that something is missing after they're gone.

I did not mean to imply that I enjoy the hours I spend with
these univited guests who move in for a month or two at a time
and turn my life upside-down.

Hoping your days & nights are painfree and that you
will find the strength to endure those that are not.
