I just discovered this wonderful web site for all of us kindred
spirits who share the same horrible pain. I'm sorry that you are
hurting.
I have been battling this beast for 25 years.
Back in the days when all they could do was give me Demerol or Morphine.
Then, I found a Doc that also suffered from CH and
he started me on Imitrex. (My 14 minute miracle)
It sounds like Imitrex doesn't work for some
but I love it. At about $40 a "pop" it's hard to afford but when your
lying in the floor at two a.m. wishing you were dead, $40 isn't too bad.
I am glad that we have both found a place to come where others understand
what we are feeling. When I tell people at work that I have to give
myself an injection for the pain, some say, "I could never give myself
a shot" That's when I say, "you've never felt pain like a cluster headache!"
