Dairy products are a good source of tryptophan. Tryptophan is converted to 5-HTP (5 hydro-tryptophan) and then to serotonin (5-HT) which we all know is a vaso constrictor. Lots of the medications, ercaf/imitrex etc. act like serotonin on certain nerve receptors to constrict the blood vessels. If you decide it's the milk, let me know. I have 4 jars of 5-HTP supplements. I'll be glad to send you one. Perhaps a few capsuls a day will get the 5-HT levels up to where you don't get any more headches. I've been taking the supplements with no real side effects but I'm not in a cluster so I don't know if they help CH. Let me know if you want to be the lab rat.
