At the eyebrow on the affected side, push up so that the eyelid separates from the eyeball. Push the lower lid down as well. Focus with that eye on different quadrants. For me, with CH on the left side, the magic spot is down and away. (Sounds more like a baseball pitch than anything else.) The object of the exercise is to reduce the pressure on the pre-orbital fundus over the eye which as we all know, is where much of the pain is concentrated. I release the eyelids after about five seconds when it starts to feel as if the surface of the eyeball is becoming dry. Dr. Greg, please feel free to correct any inaccurate nomenclature in this posting.
