This is an interesting thread. I have experienced depression in conjunction with chronic clusters, and I have been counseled by my neuro that this is common. I have also been counseled that tricyclics such as paxil, prozac and zoloft have been used with some success to prevent clusters as well as in the treatment of depression. Paxil was the only one that seemed to work for a while, then it backfired big time and seemed to make depression much worse. I had major withdrawal problems with all three. Talk about some stuff that will really mess with your brain chemistry - whew. Glad to be away from these.
