some people say that they can abort or reduce attacks by vigorous workouts, I think as many of us experience just the opposite
for me - if I do some unusual, concentrated physical exertion activity, I can pretty well expect an intensification in the headaches for a day or two, attacks becming more frequent and more severe

there IS a thing called exertion headache, or sometimes "weighlifter's headache", which is triggered by extreme physical exertion, a monster explosive headache with nausea, etc - - my son got nailed by it once in college, working out for crew - perhaps there is some overlap or commonality with CH - unfortunately, CH is so different from a lot of other headache type maladies that we can get one of the others right along with CH attacks - no fun at all

I've noticed more of the MD/clinical websites that deal with CH and other head pain are saying that clusterheads should try to keep things "level" and calm - mentally & physically - as part of the effort to reduce the overall distress of CH
instinctively I've been doing that for years now, and it DOES help
