Actually, that sounds more like Chronic Paloxysmos Hemicrania than CH. You may want to check into that. My experience with CH is they typically last anywhere from 45 minutes to four hours - but usually last about an hour.
I have CH coupled with CPH and TMJ, which aggravates the CH. I get anywhere from 10 to 30 super sharp icepick stabs in my head that last about 5 or 10 seconds each everyday. When I mentioned that to my latest doc she just said "Hmmm" so I don't think she actually knows whats going on.
You may want to check into CPH, after all that could be the case. This morning I had a fullblown 10 CH that I could not abort and it lasted almost 2 hours!!!! When you have several like that, all the time, childbirth sounds easy. You must understand though - I am what they term as "chronic" - which is to say I have had clusters everyday since February 1998. So, you may understand that I would rather spend a 24 hour period trying to pass tennis ball size kidney stones out my willie than have CH.
