I have been diagnosed with the migraine syndrome
which in my case includes dizziness, nausea, unsteadiness, and
headches. My doctor recnetly put me on neurontin.
I started with one pill (300mg) for a week, and
built up gradually to 3 pills (900 mg) a day.
I tolerated the medication well until I got to the 900mg dose,
at which point my symptoms got really bad. In addition, I felt
drugged up. Doc said to go down to 2 pills and to
stay there for a while which I did. After about a month on that
dose, symptoms got bad again. I was again drugged up
and this time fell into deep depression and fatigue.
So told the doc I was going off of it gradually
over a period of a week. Three days later my symptoms stared to
fade away and after 5 days I was OK (no depression). In my case
neurontin suppressed my appetite and lost 4 pounds in less that a month.
