About 3 years ago, I tried visiting the chiropracter to see if he could offer some relief for my migraines (I did not realise then that they were classic CH symptoms).
Prior to the visit, the CHs were getting worse, increasing in frequency and intensity. I have been continuing the treatment since.
My perception is that the treatment has indeed reduced the frequency of my cycle, and has ended a cycle early. However, some times, like now, the treatment seems to make no difference; I am still stuck in a cycle three weeks after treatment.
May be my cycles would have ended when they did even if I didn't have the treatment, and in fact I am wasting my money.
I go about every 3-4 months. The treatment consists of massage of the neck and shoulders, and a sudden twisting of the head, which causes the top vertebrae to click. I often get very tight, tense muscles at the base of my neck at either side (my chiropracyter refers to these as CTs). There is a definate correlation between how painful and tense these are, and when I get CHs.
The treatment helps relax these muscles. This led me to think that CHs could be posture related, although conversely, they can come on no matter what I am doing - sleeping, sitting on sofa, at the computer, walking around...
Anyone else tried chiropractic, gets sore CTs, or has any thoughts on posture?
