what a great place.3 months of chronic and this is my haven.
ive been a ham operator for 15 years. when i get a ch i do
a little radio and it helps pass the time,unless it gets bad
then the shuffle etc...i was thinking it would be nice to be
able to talk to fellow ch people on the radio,especialy during one
. it requires a license.the license is fairly easy to get. radio shack sells a
book,,KNOW YOUR TALKING,that tells you how to do it.
the EXACT questions for the test are even in it!
what can radio do for US?. it would be nice to turn on
a predetermined frequency and talk to clusterheads
all over our country at about anytime. the radios can be
had for under a hundred bucks if you look hard.
i could help with questions and studying via e-mail and live chat rooms
i will buy and ship the book to the first 5 interested people,on the
condition that when YOUR done with it you pass it along.
i have not even begun to scratch the surface as
to the fun and capabilities of ham radio,,,please e-mail me with thoughts or questions
,,,i think it might help pass some painful moments for some and keep
the mind occupied during a ch. it will also help bring some of
us closer together. for those of you thinking,I CANT DO THAT,,YOU CAN,,
i have tought 8 year old kids radio before!
if i get one interested person i will be happy,and it sure
would be nice to talk to people at will on the radio
at any time no matter where the place.
i was on the live chat tue nite and was kinda bummed more people didnt
show up,but i had a good time with those that did!

let me know and ill knock it off,,,hope SOMEONE takes me up
on it though!
