Dear Oprah the show that you had on dec.30 with celine dion realy struck home ,as my wife that I've been married to for 41 years
has just been told that she doesn't have to go to her oncolagist any more 5 years ago we went through the scare that celine and her husband went through with cancer ours was a little worse because the insurance company told us that they wouldn't
cover the treatment because it was a pre existing condition, they told us to wait until it was covered to treat it my response to them was stick it we went ahead anyway when they called us for payment they told us that it was our job to fight the insurance company
my response to them was it was them that wanted the money and if they didn't help us at the end I would file bankruptsie and they would get nothing.
They decided to help so I called a few people that I knew inside the system, they told me that it is standard proceedure to deney the claim and try to get the paitient
to pay the bills then they have a precidence that proves their case that it was preexisting this is very stressful on the cancer patient to fight the diseas as well as the insuranse company it is a scary situation I give celine a lot of credit she is such a real person I hate to see her leave the field she is a rare person ,I can't wait for her to return
thank you for having a great show it is the only talk show that is almost always suitable for the whole family I know it sounds funny comming from a person that has been married as long as we have ,but we have our three grandchildren living with us
