I want to add my voice to every else's here.
Don't give up. NEVER! If you get to the very
bottom of the meds, there is a surgery that has
been written about on this board. I think it's
called gamma knife surgery. Someone said it
may have a side effect of numbness, but that's
better than pain. Please look into this.
Also, I've had to deal with the pain of loss, too,
on top of the pain of cluster. In my case, my
loss was the sudden death of my brother. It has
been a complete trauma in my life; in fact, his
death may well have changed my clusters from
episodic to chronic. The only reason I'm telling
you this is because I'm still here to tell it.
When Mark died, I felt my life was no longer worth
living. I wanted to end my life because of all the
physical and emotional pain. Yet I have survived.
And you will, too, because of all the people in
your life who care about you. Including those
of us on this board, total strangers, who understand
what you're going through.
We have to hang together and help each other out
in any way we can.
