My son has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder,PDD/NOS. He takes Ritalin sometimes and we can definetly tell the difference if he takes generic. It doesn't work or makes him sick. The Ritalin only works for a short time,then he starts having tics and worsened anxiety, specifically seperation anxiety. I'm wondering if Neurontin would help him (he is age 11). He cannot take any of the antipsycotic drugs or antidepressants, lithium, or other anticonvulsants. Clonidine has helped,but many side effects. Thanks, Marion Weaver
