It's tough to find a doc who knows chronics. I went to a neuro for awhile who was interested in headaches, belonged to one of the professional headache groups, and knew the meds and episodic clusters pretty well.
What he eventually let slip was that he had never treated a chronic cluster patient, and then he started trying to tell me that I wasn't chronic! Needless to say that was the last time I ever saw him.
