Your post prompted me to make a point. No one should take any drug without knowing everything there is to know about it. There is so much info out there and it is readily available - public libraries, Physicians Desk Reference ( whatever the hell they call it ), the Inernet, etc.
Get a few sources for validation but most of all I would humbly suggest to everyone that you simply can't blame your Dr. Shucks, ( I was gonna say shit, but Drummer gets upset )- I will make it my business to know more than my Dr. before I take anything, particularly some of the serious stuff we need to combat clusters.
This is not meant as a citicism of you - I suspect you are doing your homework.
I am just always amazed at how people can take a drug and not even know what the fu.. it is.
I can be a little perverse and when people tell me they are taking medicine for hypertension I always like to ask them what drug they are taking. Most do not know the name, or the category. Kind of hard to be too sympathetic.
