I have been using it a long time and if it works it is probably the best prophylactic because it has no serious side effects. Most typical side effects are constipation and maybe a little lethargy. Of the preventatives that actually work, verapamil is the most benign. Hope it works for you.
The time release variety is what I have ben using with great success.
One other point to consider - I assume you are episodic and if you are I would humbly suggest that you get off the verapamil between cycles. Some nueros ( mine incuded ) want to keep you on it between cycles. I believe that this would make the verapamil less effecive when your clusters begin again.
