Well, it’s that time again. For the past week I’ve been getting shadows in the evening and last night I got my first hint of pain. Not a full blown Cluster but enough to make me reconsider my lifestyle. It’s time to put down the alcohol and prepare myself for eight weeks of torture.
My last Cluster ended around the beginning of July so I’ve had a decent break. I’m here to renew my membership in the Cluster Club. I’m dreading the next several weeks of freezer visits and Imitrex shots but I’ve done it before and hopefully I can do it again. My patience is growing shorter and I’m becoming more irritable. I’m not sure if it’s because my metabolism is changing or I’m anticipating the first attack.
The bright side of this is that I know this site is still here and that there are still others out there who can appreciate what lies ahead for me. I’ve been checking in on this site hoping to find that "miracle cure" but it doesn’t seem to be here yet. I will add ‘drinking lots of water ‘ to my arsenal and hopefully it will do more than make me pee a lot. Also, the ice cube trick in the nostril will be one of my first lines of attack, cold air really works well.
If we ever get a ‘tip jar’ started for DJ you can count me in.
