I am a non-smoker, and now a non-coffee drinker. When I had my first two attacks, I was drinking coffee, though only one cup a day, first thing in the morning. When I had my third attack, I had been off coffee for about 18 months.
One other factor you may wish to ask about - how many of us live in close proximity to any type of industrial pollution? any smoke stacks, pulp mill, steel mills, acid rain, etc.
Environment seems to play an important role in other illnesses, etc., why not here too?
