As one of the few people on the board who actually
knows Peter Goadsby (he is my neuro), the idea that
he is without compassion is deeply offensive. He is
the only person I have yet met (other than my wife)
who truly knows what these things are like.
He is the one who has given me the pain relief that
I have, and which enables me to survive, and did
so because I was suffering, not because he was
getting a kickback out of it.
He helped me fight my local health authority when
they wouldn't give me oxygen.
I don't particularly want to become a dope-head - which I
get the impression is what you would prefer.
Don't knock the helpers.
And (pardon the grammar - not that you'd notice)
before you criticise in future, try getting the facts.
I visited the G-W help page last night, and it said
for US residents only. Why should even an omniscient
UK doctor know anything about a programme that
has no relevance here, thank God.
